Federal authorities are seeking Mary Carole McDonnell, a 75-year-old woman accused of orchestrating a significant bank fraud scheme. Between July 2017 and May 2018, McDonnell allegedly obtained approximately $14.7 million from a California bank through fraudulent means, with further allegations of defrauding other financial institutions of over $15 million. She is believed to be originally from Missouri and has ties to Montgomery, Alabama.
McDonnell's alleged claims of being an heir to the McDonnell Aircraft Family, with access to an $80 million secret trust, have drawn the attention of the FBI. A federal arrest warrant was issued for her in December 2018. Authorities now suspect she may be residing in Dubai. The FBI has designated her as one of their Most Wanted Fraudsters and is offering a reward of up to $150,000 for information leading to her apprehension.
