The search for Nancy Guthrie has entered its third week, with an FBI agent recently visiting a Tucson gun store to inquire about firearm purchases. The agent presented the store's co-owner, Phillip Martin, with a list of approximately 18 to 24 individuals, including photos and names, asking if any had bought a gun in the past year.
Martin's electronic records system yielded no matches for recent firearm purchases among those listed. He stated he agreed to assist out of concern for Guthrie's family and was informed by the agent that investigators would check other gun shops.
Separately, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos refuted claims that authorities have identified a specific group of around 40 potential suspects. He clarified that investigators are still examining various pieces of evidence to locate the missing individual.
