3 Dec
Summary
- Five men charged with running online child exploitation enterprise 'Greggy's Cult'.
- The group allegedly coerced minors into self-harm and degrading acts via Discord.
- Defendants are accused of producing and distributing child sex abuse material.
Federal authorities have arrested five men accused of orchestrating "Greggy's Cult," an online child exploitation ring that preyed on vulnerable individuals. Operating primarily through Discord servers, the enterprise allegedly coerced minors into performing acts of self-harm and degrading conduct, which were then recorded and distributed among members. The indictment includes charges for conspiracy to produce, distribute, and communicate child pornography and interstate threats.
Investigators revealed that "Greggy's Cult" operated from January 2020 to January 2021, targeting victims found on gaming platforms like Roblox. The group's depraved activities included encouraging suicide and forcing minors to insert household objects into their bodies. Members were also accused of "fansigning," where victims would write cult members' names on their bodies to demonstrate loyalty, and extorting victims with threats of malware or framing them as pedophiles.
FBI Director Kash Patel emphasized that the agency will pursue those hiding behind keyboards, sending a clear message that such criminal activity will not be tolerated. Attorney General Pam Bondi reiterated the Department of Justice's commitment to protecting children and holding predators accountable, both online and offline. This operation predates the "764" network, another significant online child exploitation group currently under intensified FBI investigation.
