The suspected perpetrator, Ceyhan Dinler, fled the UK via Stansted Airport on the very day Mr. Turhan disappeared, and remains at large.
A homeless man, Ciprian Ilie, received a seven-year sentence for assisting an offender and preventing a lawful burial. The court heard that Mr. Turhan had allegedly been involved with Mr. Dinler's girlfriend, creating a motive for the crime. Police continue to seek Mr. Dinler, believed to have fled to Turkey.
