In a shocking turn of events in West Champaran district, a man allegedly drowned his wife and their three minor children in a canal following a domestic dispute. The incident occurred on Tuesday in Bhangaha village. The deceased children were identified as the offspring of Rambabu Yadav, a local resident.
According to initial reports, Rambabu Yadav and his wife, Lalita Devi, had been experiencing marital discord. The argument escalated on Tuesday morning, leading Yadav to push his wife and then throw their three children into the Tirhut canal. While Lalita Devi managed to swim to safety, the three children, aged six years, four years, and five months, tragically perished.
Villagers and police recovered the bodies of the children from the canal. The accused father, Rambabu Yadav, has been apprehended by the authorities. An FIR has been registered, and he is expected to be sent to judicial custody. An investigation into the matter is currently ongoing.
