Father Charged with Murder of 3 Missing Michigan Boys 15 Years Later

Over 15 years after the mysterious disappearance of three young brothers in Michigan, their father has been charged with their murder. On November 12, 2025, John Skelton was charged with three counts of open murder and three counts of tampering with evidence in connection with the 2010 disappearance of his sons - Andrew (9), Alexander (7), and Tanner (5).

The boys were spending Thanksgiving with their father in Morenci, Michigan, in November 2010 when they failed to return home to their mother the following day. Authorities later searched Skelton's home and discovered disturbing evidence, including a noose hanging from the second floor, a Bible open with a verse circled, and a note that seemed to address the boys' mother, Tanya Zuvers. According to an FBI agent, the note allegedly read: "You will hate me forever and I know this," which the agent described as a "passive admission to killing the children."

Skelton was previously convicted of unlawful imprisonment of his sons and was set to be released from prison on November 29, 2025. However, the new murder charges have left the family "shocked and heartbroken all over again." They continue to seek justice for the boys and hope the investigation will finally uncover the truth about what happened to them.
