The victim, Mohammad Faisal Matiullah Sheikh, had rented a vehicle from prime accused Saif Ali Khan. An argument ensued when the deposit was allegedly not returned. Sheikh arrived with friends to discuss the matter, where they were confronted by Khan and his associates.

The confrontation quickly turned violent, resulting in Aman Sheikh being stabbed and Abu Talib sustaining injuries. Following the attack, the accused allegedly abducted Sheikh, robbed him of Rs 5,000, and threatened him before fleeing.

Shil-Daighar police responded promptly, registering murder and kidnapping charges. Within two hours, rapid police action, utilizing technical inputs and informants, led to the arrest of all three accused in Desai village. They also recovered the murder weapon and the vehicle used in the crime, while successfully rescuing the abducted victim.
