7 Charged in Fatal Ditch Crash After Man's Death

Seven individuals have been charged and appeared in court following a fatal road traffic collision in Lincolnshire. The incident, which occurred on November 24, 2023, at Counter Drain Drove, Tongue End, resulted in the death of Sean Burlton, a passenger in a car that overturned into a water-filled ditch.
Bailey Fitzgerald and Sam Johnson face serious accusations, including manslaughter and causing death by dangerous driving in relation to Mr. Burlton's death. Additionally, all seven defendants are charged with conspiracy to commit actual bodily harm against another individual. The court heard that the crash involved three vehicles: a grey Ford Focus, a black Vauxhall Insignia, and a grey Volkswagen Touran.
Judge Simon Hirst has scheduled a provisional trial for the case to commence on September 1st at Lincoln Crown Court. Scott Biggs is accused of conspiracy to commit actual bodily harm. Sam Clift, Josh Copnell, Max Prior, and Vanessa Gratton have all entered not guilty pleas to the same conspiracy charge.
