Tragedy struck the Oxfordshire village of Bladon early Saturday morning when a pedestrian was found dead following a suspected hit-and-run incident.
The victim, a man in his 20s, was discovered on Grove Road, near The White House community pub, at approximately 03:00 GMT. Despite efforts at the scene, he was pronounced dead shortly after being found.
Thames Valley Police swiftly responded to the incident. A 65-year-old man from Stroud, Gloucestershire, has been taken into custody. He faces charges including causing death by careless driving and failing to stop at the scene of a collision. He remains in police custody as investigations continue.
