- Revenge motive linked to occult beliefs and prior death.
- Four suspects arrested, including two juveniles.
In Narmadapuram district, a farmer's life was brutally ended and his body subsequently burned in a forest. The crime, which occurred recently, has led to the arrest of four individuals, including two juveniles, by the police. Investigations revealed a motive rooted in superstition and a desire for vengeance.
The victim, identified as Chandan Nagvanshi, had gone missing on December 23rd. CCTV footage confirmed he was heading towards Budhni with four acquaintances but did not return. The prime accused, Sushil Nagvanshi, harbored ill will towards Chandan's family due to occult beliefs linking neighbors to his mother's recent death.
Under the pretense of a celebration, the accused led Chandan to a secluded forest area, plied him with alcohol, and then bludgeoned him to death. To conceal their crime, the group poured petrol on the body and motorcycle, setting them on fire. Police recovered the charred remains and other personal items.
