A shocking daylight murder occurred in Faridabad on Friday night when a woman was allegedly shot dead by her estranged husband. The victim, identified as Sangeeta Devi, 30, was reportedly attacked by her husband and some family members outside her home in Sunlight Colony, Basantpur village.
The couple's divorce proceedings were ongoing, and Sangeeta Devi had been living separately with her two children. An argument reportedly escalated between Sangeeta and her husband's family, leading to him firing three shots at her.
Neighbors were alerted by the gunfire and rushed to the scene, at which point the accused fled. Sangeeta was transported to a private hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Police have registered a murder case and are actively searching for the accused, who is a native of Bihar.
