A suspected honour killing case has emerged in Faridabad following the death of a 21-year-old man from Alwar. The deceased, Monu, was allegedly kidnapped and held captive for three days, during which he was severely assaulted. His family stated that Monu was in a relationship with a minor girl from Tigaon, Faridabad, and was allegedly targeted by her family.
Monu's uncle reported that he left home on May 17, intending to go to the Tigaon police station. Instead, the family alleges he was abducted by the girl's relatives and subjected to continuous torture. On May 20, Monu was found injured outside the girl's father's house and later died during medical treatment.
Faridabad Police confirmed that an earlier case was registered against Monu for allegedly eloping with the minor in April. Following his death, a murder case, along with kidnapping and other charges, was filed based on the family's complaint. Two suspects have been apprehended, and the investigation is ongoing.
