A Florida woman, Autumn Bardisa, has been sentenced to five years of probation and community service after posing as a licensed nurse and treating thousands of patients. Bardisa, 29, of Palm Coast, was charged with unlicensed practice of healthcare and fraudulent use of identification.
Authorities stated that Bardisa treated over 4,400 patients between June 2024 and January 2025, falsely presenting herself as a nurse at AdventHealth. She used the license number of another nurse with the same first name, fabricating credentials to secure employment.
After her arrest, Bardisa obtained a nursing license which she has now forfeited as part of her plea deal. She is barred from working in the medical field during her probation. The Flagler County Sheriff expressed concern, noting Bardisa's actions put patients at risk and damaged trust in the medical profession.
