3 May
Summary
- Former guitarist faces attempted first-degree murder charge.
- Charges were upgraded after March 29 incident.
- Ebert previously claimed self-defense and maintained innocence.

Former Turnstile guitarist Brady Ebert is now facing a potential life sentence. His charges were elevated to attempted first-degree murder following an incident on March 29. Ebert is accused of intentionally driving his vehicle into William Yates, the 79-year-old father of Turnstile singer Brendan Yates.
Initially, Ebert faced charges of second-degree attempted murder and first-degree assault. However, a Montgomery County grand jury has since indicted him on the more severe first-degree charge. If convicted, he faces a maximum sentence of life in prison, a significant increase from the previous 30-year maximum.
Ebert has consistently maintained his innocence, telling a court commissioner that the action was a matter of self-defense. Turnstile had previously stated they cut ties with Ebert in 2022 due to his harmful behavior and escalating threats, despite efforts to support his recovery.
