Ex-ISRO Employee Kills Wife, Waits for Police

In Bengaluru, a distressing incident unfolded as a 65-year-old former ISRO employee, Nageshwar Rao, allegedly killed his wife, Sandya Sri. Rao reportedly confessed to strangling his wife with a towel on Wednesday. He was allegedly being treated for depression and expressed an intent to take his own life following the murder.
Rao remained at their residence in the The Virtuoso apartment complex in Bommanahalli after the crime. He subsequently contacted an acquaintance, who then alerted the authorities. Police apprehended Rao around 11 am, with officials noting that his reported depression and suicidal intentions appeared to be the primary motives.
According to deputy commissioner of police (Whitefield), Saidulu Adavath, there were no other significant reasons apparent for the crime. The couple's daughter, who resides in the United States, has been informed of the incident. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death is ongoing.
