Ex-Hospital CEO Accused of Flashing, Assaulting Officer
11 Feb
Summary
- Former hospital CEO faces charges of indecent exposure in a park.
- He is also accused of sexually assaulting an arresting police officer.
- The accused pleaded not guilty and elected a jury trial.

Dr. Martin Kuper, 57, formerly the chief executive of Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, has entered pleas of not guilty to charges of exposure and sexual assault. The accusations stem from an incident on April 28, 2025, when he allegedly exposed himself to a woman sunbathing in Battersea Park, London. Prosecutors stated that after being approached by the victim, Kuper allegedly straddled her and exposed his penis before fleeing.
Following his detention in connection with the park incident, Dr. Kuper is further accused of sexually assaulting a female police officer by groping her. He had served as CEO of Moorfields Eye Hospital from September 2021 until his departure in July last year. The Oxford-educated doctor confirmed his details in court and was released on bail, with a condition prohibiting him from entering Battersea Park. His trial is expected to be heard at Kingston Crown Court.
