- Two women, mothers of his children, found deceased

Portuguese authorities arrested a former French police officer, Cedric Prizzon, after discovering the bodies of two women buried in an isolated area. The women have been identified as the mothers of Prizzon's children.
Prizzon, previously a member of the Paris police and a rugby league international, was apprehended near Meda with his two children, a 12-year-old boy and an 18-month-old girl. French police had been searching for him since the women disappeared from their homes in south-central France last week.
During his arrest, officers found a shotgun, fake documents, and a significant amount of cash. Prizzon, who was involved in a public custody battle and had a prior conviction for harassing his ex-partner, is suspected of aggravated homicide, desecrating a corpse, and kidnapping. The two children are being returned to France.
