A devastating incident unfolded early Saturday morning near Cherlapally when a 38-year-old software engineer and her two teenage children were found dead. The victims, identified as Chetana Reddy, 18, and Vishal Reddy, 17, along with their mother, P Vijaya, 38, are believed to have died by suicide after jumping in front of a train.
Railway authorities were alerted around 12:40 am by the pilot of a goods train who discovered the scene. Investigators found the mother's car parked near the station and recovered a purported suicide note. The note, addressed to her mother, expressed deep unhappiness with life despite efforts to cope, stating an inability to leave the children behind.
Police confirmed the family had no apparent financial issues, suggesting personal reasons for the tragedy. The deceased worked with a private firm and attended intermediate school. The husband, employed in Dubai, has returned to Hyderabad. The Government Railway Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation, with autopsies pending.
