Engineer Accused of Murdering Pregnant Wife

In Kanpur, an engineer, Sanjay Kumar, has been accused of murdering his wife, Roshni, who was two months pregnant. The incident occurred in the Gujaini police station area. Roshni's family reported that Kumar had a history of assaulting her, including an attempt to burn her in November 2025, which led to a dowry case against him. He had been a fugitive since then.

After his release from jail, he married Roshni. The current crime came to light when Roshni's nephew found her locked apartment and alerted the police, who discovered her body upon forced entry.
