The sender claimed to be an associate of the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Following the complaint filed by Yadav, police registered a case pertaining to extortion and criminal intimidation. The investigation has been escalated to the Crime Branch, which is working to trace the origin of the number and identify the perpetrators.
This recent threat comes several months after a significant security incident on August 17, 2025, when unknown assailants fired approximately two dozen rounds outside Yadav's home. Several arrests have since been made in connection with that firing incident, including individuals identified as Ishant, Jatin, Gaurav, and Aditya, by various police units.
