Counter Terrorism Policing South East has arrested four individuals in connection with an investigation into extreme right-wing terrorism in East Sussex. The arrests were made last week, prompting property searches in the area.
Two of those detained, a 41-year-old man from Eastbourne and a 27-year-old woman from Hailsham, have been released without any further action. Their detention concluded as inquiries progressed.
However, two other men, aged 36 and 33, both residing in Eastbourne, are still in custody. They were arrested under Section 41 of the Terrorism Act 2000, which permits police to detain individuals suspected of terrorism for up to 14 days.
