A California woman, Obdulia Sanchez, who gained notoriety for live-streaming her deadly DUI crash, was killed in a drive-by shooting in Stockton on Tuesday, December 2. This incident brings a tragic end to a life marked by a devastating 2017 car accident.
In 2017, Sanchez, then 18, was driving under the influence and live-streaming on Instagram when she crashed her car, killing her 14-year-old sister, Jacqueline. Shockingly, Sanchez continued to stream the aftermath, showing her sister's fatal injuries. She was subsequently sentenced to six years for vehicular manslaughter, DUI, and child endangerment.
Sanchez was released on parole in 2019 but was re-arrested later that year. The San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office is investigating the recent drive-by shooting, which also wounded another individual. No arrests have been announced.
