Summary
- Ankita Kilsan paid Rs 1 lakh for fake journal publications.
- Her job as an Assistant Professor was terminated due to fake articles.
- A Delhi court ordered an FIR against two DU assistant professors.

An Ankita Kilsan, a 29-year-old Assistant Professor at Delhi University's Bharati College, has been dismissed from her position after learning that the publications used to secure her job were fraudulent. She had allegedly paid Rs 1 lakh to three individuals, including two DU assistant professors, for having her articles published in what turned out to be fake journals. The Delhi court ordered an FIR to be registered against these two professors and another individual for allegedly duping Kilsan.
Kilsan, who initially believed she was part of a professional fraternity, discovered the deception in July 2024. The college principal informed her in August 2024 that an RTI inquiry revealed the publications were fake. When confronted, the accused allegedly claimed the documents were 'cloned copies.' Investigations revealed the publications were indeed fake, leading to her termination. Subsequently, one of the accused allegedly demanded Rs 25 lakh to 'settle' the matter.
