A tragic road accident on National Highway 44 in Ambala resulted in the death of 24-year-old Nikita. The incident occurred Wednesday night when a car, reportedly driven by an intoxicated Haryana Police head constable named Amit Kumar, struck the e-rickshaw she was traveling in.
Nikita fell from the e-rickshaw and was subsequently run over by the car. She was transported to the Civil Hospital, where medical professionals pronounced her deceased. Her family members gathered at the hospital to protest, demanding justice for their daughter and attempting to confront the accused officer.
The e-rickshaw driver stated that the speeding car, driven by the heavily intoxicated policeman, hit their vehicle near Kali Paltan bridge. Nikita's brother confirmed she was returning home from work in Gurugram at the time of the fatal crash. Police have registered a case against the head constable, and blood samples were collected for alcohol testing.
