Schoolboy Drug Mule Jailed for Exploitation

A 20-year-old drug dealer, Matteullah Siddiqi, has been sentenced to six years and nine months in prison for exploiting a 14-year-old boy to sell drugs. This conviction is considered one of the first in Scotland involving a child exploited for dealing class A substances. Siddiqi initially met the teenager at a games arcade in Glasgow city centre in 2025.
The boy was coerced into skipping school and living in drug dens. Teachers became concerned about his deteriorating attendance and alerted his mother, leading to the discovery of his involvement. Siddiqi provided the youngster with a mobile phone and instructed him to distribute cocaine testers in various locations, including Glasgow, Paisley, and Ayr.
Siddiqi was apprehended by police in Glasgow on September 19th. During his arrest, he was found with nearly £3,000 of heroin and admitted to aggravated assault on an officer who was injured during the struggle. Siddiqi also pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of heroin and cocaine.
