3 Mar
Summary
- Gangster Antonio Ferdinand jailed for 43 months for drug offences.
- Ferdinand fears deportation to Saint Vincent due to child.
- Police found cocaine, heroin, and cash in the vehicle.

Antonio Ferdinand, originally from Saint Vincent, has been sentenced to 43 months in prison for his role in a class-A drug operation. He was apprehended in Reading alongside Claire Caesar after police observed suspicious activity in their vehicle. During a search, officers discovered approximately 40 wraps of cocaine, 19 wraps of heroin, and £219 in cash.
Ferdinand, who only arrived in England in 2024, became heavily involved in the drug ring by August 2025. His defense lawyer stated that Ferdinand fears deportation due to his young child in the UK and expressed significant emotional anxiety about potential separation. He claimed his involvement stemmed from desperation due to homelessness, having arrived in the UK without legal status.
Claire Caesar, also from Reading, received a 38-month sentence for drug supply charges. The judge noted both defendants were fully engaged in the operation, responsible for bulk purchasing and recruiting street dealers. Ferdinand's situation was highlighted, with the judge acknowledging his fear of returning to St Vincent and the emotional distress concerning his child as direct consequences of his offending.
