Three individuals have been arrested near the India-Nepal border, with authorities seizing a substantial quantity of narcotic injections. The operation, a joint effort by local police and special teams, intercepted a vehicle suspected of transporting drugs towards Nepal.
During the search, police discovered 4,350 ampoules of narcotic injections, comprising 2,000 Diazepam and 2,350 Buprenorphine. These seized amounts are classified as commercial under the NDPS Act. The arrested men, aged 19 to 55, have been identified, and initial interrogations suggest the drugs were sourced from a supplier in Bihar.
Investigators are looking into how orders were placed and payments were made, with allegations of WhatsApp communication and bank transfers being used. Police noted that these injections, intended for medical use, were being diverted for illicit intoxicating purposes. Two of the arrested individuals are known to have previous offenses related to drug trafficking and other criminal acts.
The vehicle used for the transport has been seized, and efforts are continuing to apprehend other network members and determine the final recipients of the illicit substances. Further investigations into the operation are ongoing.
