A wedding in Bareilly was abruptly canceled on the night of the ceremony due to a shocking dowry demand. Just before the key rituals were to commence, the groom and his family allegedly demanded Rs 20 lakh in cash and a Brezza car from the bride's family.
Despite the bride's family having already spent around Rs 15 lakh on wedding arrangements and providing substantial gifts and cash earlier, they were unable to fulfill the groom's side's eleventh-hour demand. This refusal sparked a major commotion at the venue.
The situation escalated into a heated argument, prompting the bride's family to contact the police. The wedding was ultimately called off, leaving the bride deeply distressed.
