On the morning of September 21, the woman was allegedly locked in a room, assaulted, and strangled. Her family claims she was administered sedatives to destabilize her mental health, had her hair cut to humiliate her, and was then thrown from the roof. She suffered a fractured leg and numerous other injuries, and is receiving treatment.
The complaint was lodged by her father, who stated his daughter had been married to the doctor in 2020 and had faced harassment for not meeting dowry demands. The couple has two minor sons. Police are investigating the allegations and attempting to apprehend the absconding accused.
