In Fulton, Missouri, a Domino's delivery driver, Zachary Nicholus Walton, 36, has been jailed without bond following an alleged assault on a customer. The incident occurred on April 29, around 7:21 p.m., when officers responded to a report of an accident with injuries. A witness claimed Walton became enraged after not receiving a tip, intentionally striking the customer with his vehicle.
The victim sustained visible injuries and reported pain. Video footage from the scene appears to corroborate the witness accounts, showing Walton initiating a verbal confrontation with profanities before driving his vehicle towards the victim. Walton then fled the scene at high speed.
Authorities later apprehended Walton at Domino's, where he allegedly confessed to driving toward the customer in an attempt to frighten him and admitted to leaving the scene. Prosecutors cited his prior conviction for domestic assault and false imprisonment as reasons for him being a danger to the community and posing a flight risk. Walton's first court appearance was on May 1, with his next hearing scheduled for May 6.
