In a shocking incident on Friday morning, a 70-year-old man was allegedly murdered by his 32-year-old son at their residence in the Pisavli area of Dombivli. The alleged motive for the fatal attack, which occurred around 11:30 am, appears to be the son's suspicions regarding an extramarital affair between his father and wife.
The son, who along with his father worked as a construction labourer, reportedly attacked his sleeping father with a sharp weapon. This violent act is believed to have been triggered by the son's recent discovery or developing suspicions about his wife's alleged relationship with his father, while his wife was visiting her native village.
Authorities from the Manpada police station responded swiftly, arriving at the scene to apprehend the accused. The weapon believed to have been used in the commission of the crime was also seized. A murder case has been registered against the suspect under Section 103(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and further investigations are ongoing.
