Dogs Rescued From Squalid Conditions Find Hope
6 May
Summary
- Fourteen dogs rescued from a squalid North Yorkshire house after owner's death.
- Many dogs were severely matted with faeces and urine upon rescue.
- Fundraising appeal launched to cover veterinary costs for the dogs.

A group of 14 dogs has been rescued from squalid conditions at a house in North Yorkshire, following the death of their owner.
Upon discovery, many of the dogs were found to be severely matted with faeces and urine. Four of the rescued animals required overnight treatment at an animal hospital due to their poor health.
The RSPCA's York, Harrogate & District Branch has launched a fundraising appeal, having already raised nearly £1,500 in just a few days. This funding is crucial for the dogs' ongoing veterinary care, including blood tests, dental work, and neutering.
Despite the challenging circumstances of their rescue, the dogs are reportedly making excellent progress, regaining weight and showing loving natures. The RSPCA hopes they will soon find suitable, loving new homes.
