Doggy Mass Grave Found: Hundreds of Collars Discovered

Investigators recently unearthed a grim discovery in an open field: the remains of 117 dogs buried in a mass grave. Ground-penetrating radar revealed intact remains in various stages of decomposition, alongside additional remains in advanced states. Evidence of bullet fragments was found at the site, with x-rays confirming the corpses were riddled with bullets.

In a disturbing find, over 600 dog collars were discovered nearby. The Humboldt County Sheriff described the scene as horrific and emphasized that the investigation is in its early stages, with much data to process and witnesses to interview. Hundreds of dogs had been transferred to Miranda's Rescue, and authorities are now investigating the fate of each animal surrendered to the facility.

Miranda's Rescue has stated they are a no-kill shelter and only euthanize animals in rare, necessary circumstances, such as terminal conditions or when an animal poses a danger. However, recent media coverage has cast doubt on these claims, with the shelter's website posting a statement that the current narrative is incomplete and inaccurate.
