Abused Dog Tops Adoption Lists Amid Streamer's Ban
21 Feb
Summary
- Dog is safe and recovering in a foster home.
- Hundreds of families want to adopt the Maltipoo.
- Adoption is pending due to an active legal case.

A Maltipoo, allegedly subjected to abuse by streamer Aspen Kartier, has garnered significant attention, with hundreds of individuals expressing a desire to adopt the animal. The dog is currently in a foster home, where it is receiving necessary care and stability.
LifeLine Animal Project in Georgia confirmed the dog's well-being and recovery. Despite the overwhelming interest from prospective adoptive families, the dog is not available for adoption due to an ongoing legal case stemming from allegations of animal cruelty.
Aspen Kartier was arrested and charged after a video surfaced online showing the alleged mistreatment of the pup. The streamer has denied the allegations and is currently banned from Twitch until late March. DeKalb County Animal Services is informing interested parties that there is no set timeline for when the dog might become available for adoption.
If the dog eventually becomes available, it will be listed on the county's adoption website on a first-come, first-serve basis. Meanwhile, over 450 other animals in DeKalb and Fulton County animal shelters are also seeking loving homes.
