A two-year-old goldendoodle, cruelly abandoned at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas, has found a new life and a loving home. The dog's owner, Germiran Bryson, 26, allegedly tied the animal to a baggage sizer on February 2 after being informed she lacked proper paperwork to board her flight.
Airport staff and police apprehended Bryson at her gate, charging her with animal abandonment and resisting arrest. The dog, initially nicknamed 'Jet Blue' by airport staff, entered the care of Animal Protective Services for a mandatory 10-day holding period.
During this period, the nonprofit Retriever Rescue of Las Vegas searched for a suitable home. Fortunately, Las Vegas police officer Skeeter Black and his family, who had pre-approved adoption through the rescue, were selected to adopt the dog. Jet Blue is now happily settling into his new life with Officer Black's family.
