"Doctor Who" Star Noel Clarke Arrested in London Home Raid
26 Sep
Summary
- Noel Clarke arrested and questioned by police
- Investigation into Clarke began on Sept. 1, 2021
- Over a dozen women testified against Clarke in libel case

In a surprising turn of events, on September 26, 2025, "Doctor Who" star Noel Clarke was arrested as detectives from the Metropolitan Police searched his Kensington property in London. The police were seen leaving the actor's home with boxes, and Clarke was taken into custody for questioning.
The reason for Clarke's arrest is currently unknown, but the investigation into the actor began on September 1, 2021. This inquiry is being led by the central specialist crime command of the Metropolitan Police. Clarke was released from custody after the questioning, but the probe remains ongoing.
This latest development comes after Clarke lost a libel case against The Guardian newspaper in August 2024. The newspaper had published an expose in 2021 detailing allegations of sexual misconduct from more than 20 women. During the six-week trial, over a dozen women testified against Clarke, each claiming they had personally experienced misconduct by the actor. Despite his denials, the court ruled in favor of The Guardian, stating that the women's testimonies were credible.
"This judgment is a deserved victory for those women who suffered because of the behavior of Noel Clarke," said Guardian News and Media editor-in-chief Katharine Viner following the ruling.
