A 29-year-old doctor, identified as Giri Prasad from Tiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu, was discovered deceased in his rented accommodation in Gokuldham Colony, Meerut, on Wednesday, March 4, 2026. Prasad was reportedly pursuing his MD at a private medical college in the district.
A classmate alerted the Bhavanpur police station around 11 a.m. on Wednesday after finding the student unresponsive in his room. A police team was dispatched to the location.
The deceased's body has been sent for a post-mortem examination, and his family has been notified. The Meerut police have stated that they are examining all potential angles related to the incident. Investigations are ongoing.
