A building site in north Wales, bustling with activity for the BBC One show DIY SOS, experienced a theft of essential machinery. The burglary happened on Friday night, disrupting the urgent renovation efforts for a local family of four who were hoping to return to their home in Llanberis for Christmas.
Despite persistent rain and a public appeal for extra tradespeople by host Nick Knowles, the crew and volunteers faced this setback. Producers confirmed that the stolen equipment, which included a cement mixer and wheelbarrows, had been fitted with tracking devices.
Fortunately, the police successfully recovered the stolen items on Sunday, bringing relief to the production team and offering a brighter outlook for completing the life-changing project on time.
