Disgraced Rapper Sentenced to 3 Years in Prison for Prostitution Charges

On October 3, 2025, renowned rapper Sean "Diddy" Combs was sentenced to 50 months in prison for his involvement in prostitution-related charges. The sentencing came just three months after Combs was convicted on these charges in July 2025.

As Combs was leaving the Manhattan federal courtroom, he turned to his family members and mouthed the words "I'm sorry. I'm sorry," placing his hand over his heart. During the sentencing, Combs expressed deep remorse, stating that his "disgusting, shameful and sick" actions had let down his children, who "deserve better."

The judge, Arun Subramanian, emphasized the need for a lengthy sentence "to send a message to abusers and victims alike that exploitation and violence against women is met with real accountability." Prosecutors had pushed for an 11-year sentence, arguing that Combs' "respect for the law is just lip service."

Ultimately, Combs was sentenced to 36 months, or 3 years, in prison, with credit for time served. He will also have to pay a $500,000 fine and adhere to 5 years of supervised release upon his eventual release.
