Music Mogul Combs Sentenced to 50 Months in Prison for Prostitution Charges

In a sentencing hearing on October 3, 2025, music mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs was handed a 50-month prison sentence for two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. The judge, Arun Subramanian, highlighted Combs' violent past and the impact on his victims, calling them "strong women" who told "horrific stories."

Subramanian acknowledged Combs' career achievements and philanthropic work, but said he must also consider the disgraced music mogul's conduct, as detailed in a rigorous eight-week criminal trial. During the trial, 34 witnesses accused Combs of violent crimes and sexual abuse, including a 2016 hotel incident where he was seen violently beating one of the victims.

In a tearful speech, Combs pleaded for "mercy" and apologized to his victims, saying his "actions were disgusting, shameful and sick." He admitted to being "lost in excess" and "lost in [his] ego," and vowed to never put his hands on another person again. Combs also apologized to his six adult children and his mother, saying they "deserved better."

Despite the defense's pleas for a lighter sentence, the judge sentenced Combs to 50 months in prison, plus a $500,000 fine and five years of supervised release. Subramanian told Combs that he can use the "same power [he] used to hurt women" to now help them, and that there is a "light at the end of the tunnel" for the disgraced music mogul.
