Diddy Requests Transfer to Low-Security Prison for Rehabilitation

According to the news, rapper Diddy's legal team has requested that the court recommend he serve the remainder of his 50-month sentence at the low-security FCI Fort Dix prison in New Jersey. Teny Geragos, one of Diddy's attorneys, has filed a letter to Judge Arun Subramanian asking for this transfer.
Diddy's lawyers argue that FCI Fort Dix is the best option for their client, as it will allow him to "address drug abuse issues" and "maximize family visitation and rehabilitative efforts." This comes after Diddy's longtime attorney, Mark Geragos, previously stated that the rapper will have a target on his back wherever he is incarcerated.
Interestingly, other high-profile inmates like "Real Housewives of New Jersey" stars Teresa and Joe Giudice have also served time at FCI Fort Dix in the past. While the judge can recommend a prison for Diddy, the final decision ultimately lies with the Bureau of Prisons.
Diddy has been locked up at MDC Brooklyn for over a year now and is set to call federal prison home for more than 2 years. It remains to be seen whether the Bureau of Prisons will agree with his lawyers' recommendation or if they will send him elsewhere to serve out the remainder of his sentence.
