Poland's interior and justice ministries stated that Britain had not provided necessary documentation, and that Lecka was never officially deported. Lecka's abuse, described as "sadistic" by a judge, occurred between October 19, 2023, and June 28, 2024, at two London nurseries. She inflicted pain by pinching, slapping, punching, and kicking children. One child was kicked five times in the face. Concerns were raised by colleagues as early as October 2023, but were initially dismissed.
