A shocking hit-and-run incident was captured on CCTV on National Highway 727A in Uttar Pradesh's Deoria district. The footage shows a red car colliding with a motorcycle, throwing the rider and a child passenger onto the road. In a horrific second impact, a black Hyundai Creta then ran over the fallen individuals before speeding away.
Locals immediately came to the aid of the injured, Rajeev Prasad, a resident of Jaitpura village, and a 12-year-old child traveling with him. They were en route to Betalpur when Prasad slowed down near a divider cut, leading to the initial collision. The second vehicle then struck them.
The injured were transported to Maharshi Devaraha Baba Medical College. Prasad sustained a leg fracture, and the child is also undergoing treatment. Authorities are reviewing the CCTV footage to identify the involved vehicles and drivers, though no formal complaint has been lodged yet. Efforts to locate the cars are ongoing.
