In a significant operation, Delhi Police's crime branch apprehended five individuals involved in the illegal distribution of tramadol, a banned medication. The seizure included a substantial quantity of 54,000 tablets, with an estimated market value of Rs 32 lakh.
The intelligence-led raid was conducted in Madanpur Khadar, located in southeast Delhi's Sarita Vihar, on October 7th. Authorities were alerted to a suspected drug supply ring operating from this location, leading to the swift apprehension of suspects.
One of the arrested individuals, Mohammad Abid, was found with the large consignment of tramadol hydrochloride tablets concealed in a carton. His son-in-law, Mohammad Javed Khan, was also taken into custody, along with three other accomplices, as part of the ongoing investigation into the illicit trade.
