On January 15, 2026, Delhi Police announced the arrest of two alleged shooters linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. One suspect, identified as Deepak, sustained a leg injury, while his associate, a minor, was apprehended.
These individuals are implicated in two recent firing incidents on the intervening nights of January 12 and 13, 2026. One incident involved shots fired outside a Paschim Vihar gym, and another targeted a businessman in Vinod Nagar for extortion. Police recovered two pistols and live ammunition from the arrested duo.
Investigations revealed that the shooters were in contact with foreign-based handlers, including Randeep Malik, an associate of Lawrence Bishnoi. The minor was reportedly promised ₹2 lakh for his involvement, with a portion already transferred to his mother's account.
