The Delhi Police have reported significant success with 'Operation Chakravyuh', a special 48-hour campaign conducted between September 5 and 6. This initiative focused on tracing and arresting fugitive proclaimed offenders.
During the operation, 61 police teams simultaneously conducted actions across multiple locations. A total of 149 proclaimed offenders were traced. Out of the 175 cases involved, 81 offenders were arrested, while 161 others had their status verified. Authorities confirmed that 49 of the traced offenders were already in judicial custody, and 19 were found to be deceased.
In an unrelated incident on September 9, Delhi Police arrested three alleged members of the Himanshu Bhau gang, including a juvenile, following a police encounter. This arrest is linked to the murder of a property dealer in Narela.
Two of the arrested individuals were wanted with a Rs 50,000 reward. They were reportedly en route to commit another crime when police received a tip. An exchange of fire occurred, with the accused firing approximately 11 to 12 rounds and police retaliating with six. The arrests were made in connection with the killing of property dealer Pramod, who was shot and killed on September 3.
