Homemade Bioweapons Seized: Doctors and Radicals Arrested in Foiled Attack

On November 13, 2025, authorities in India revealed the discovery of a chilling bioterrorism plot involving the deadly ricin toxin. The Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) arrested a doctor from Hyderabad and two accomplices from Uttar Pradesh for allegedly planning large-scale attacks using the homemade biological weapon.
According to the ATS, the suspects had amassed castor beans, chemicals, and equipment to extract and weaponize ricin, one of the world's most lethal toxins. The group had also conducted reconnaissance at religious institutions and offices of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in Ahmedabad, Delhi, and Lucknow, studying crowd movements and security patterns.
