Daughter's Plot: Murder for Property & Job
9 Jul
Summary
- Daughter allegedly masterminded mother's murder for property and job.
- First murder attempt failed; victim grew suspicious and installed cameras.
- CCTV footage proved crucial in uncovering the elaborate conspiracy.

What initially seemed a fatal road accident in Jaipur has been revealed by police as a meticulously planned murder, allegedly orchestrated by the victim's daughter, Ayushi Sharma. The motive reportedly stemmed from a desire for family property and the prospect of obtaining a government job on compassionate grounds. Neeraj Sharma, the victim, had accepted a court job after her husband's death, a position her daughter Ayushi allegedly coveted.
Ayushi reportedly conspired with her cousin Balram and uncle Mohan Sharma, promising them substantial property shares in exchange for help. An initial attempt to run Neeraj over with a vehicle a month prior failed, making Neeraj suspicious and prompting her to install CCTV cameras. Undeterred, Ayushi allegedly pushed for a second, more elaborate plan involving hired individuals and a rented SUV.
On July 4, Ayushi allegedly lured her mother home, where Neeraj was struck by a speeding Scorpio SUV. Despite the staged accident narrative, CCTV footage showing Neeraj walking on the road's edge and the subsequent actions of the involved parties proved critical. The investigation led to the recovery of the rented vehicle and the subsequent arrest and confession of Ayushi Sharma.
