Summary
- Couple hurled insults and liquid at children exiting dance class.
- Neighbors claim ongoing noise disturbances led to outburst.
- Dance studio owner seeking order of protection against neighbors.

A heated dispute occurred on Friday night near a Mexican folkloric dance class in Belmont Gardens, Chicago. A couple allegedly yelled at and threw liquid at parents and children exiting the studio. The incident was partially captured in a seven-second video that has since gained significant attention online, with viewers accusing the couple of racism and assault.
The couple, who are Latino, stated that the video portrays them negatively and expressed deep regret for their actions and words. They explained that they were awakened by a large group and excessive noise late at night, describing it as an ongoing issue. They admitted their response was insensitive and inappropriate.
The owner of the dance studio reported to ABC7 that this was not the first such incident, and police had been called previously. Students have reported witnessing similar outbursts directed at young children. In response to safety concerns, students and parents are now being directed to use the studio's front entrance instead of the alley.
Police were present at the studio on Sunday to take statements. The dance studio owner plans to pursue an order of protection against the neighbors. The couple, however, expressed a desire to resolve the conflict directly with the studio.
