Summary
- Musician D4vd faces charges for murder and witness elimination.
- The singer is accused in the dismemberment of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas.
- He also faces charges of lewd acts and mutilating human remains.

David Burke, the musician professionally known as D4vd, was transferred to Twin Towers Correctional Facility on Wednesday, April 22, 2026. He is currently held without bail and faces a hearing on Thursday, April 23, 2026.
Prosecutors accuse Burke, 21, of first-degree murder with special circumstances, including lying in wait, financial gain, and murdering a witness. The charges stem from the September 2025 discovery of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas's dismembered remains in the trunk of Burke's Tesla. Authorities believe Burke murdered Rivas on April 23, 2025, allegedly because she was a witness to his previous lewd acts with a minor.
Burke has also been charged with lewd and lascivious sexual acts with an individual under 14 and mutilating human remains. His legal team has denied all allegations, stating the evidence will show Burke was not responsible for Rivas's death.
Separately, Nick Reiner, 32, is awaiting his preliminary hearing on May 29, 2026, for the murders of his parents, filmmaker Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner. Burke's potential sentence, due to the special circumstances, could be life without parole or the death penalty, though a decision on pursuing the death penalty has not been made.
